The Historic Davidson County Courthouse was erected in 1858 in Lexington, NC. It is a two-story, Classical Revival gable front stuccoed stone temple-form building. It features a prostyle hexastyle portico, with fluted Roman Corinthian order columns. Above the portico is an octagonal clock tower. Between the months of August 2013 & September 2014, the historic structure underwent an extensive facelift. The $1.15 million dollar facelift included removal of asbestos fibered stucco, lead paint removal, reapplication of new stucco and a caulking/priming/finish paint coating schedule that was managed by a NC General Contractor and architect. Hanes Renovations was honored to be the paint contracting company over the project. After 36 days, Hanes Renovations successfully and properly sealed, primed and finish coated the structure with premium products. Eleven years later, the historic building still projects the time, attention to quality and skilled efforts by Hanes Renovations and countless other trades to ensure that the Historic Davidson County Courthouse will stand for future generations.
